Let Me Explain

With everything else going on the last few months, I almost forgot I wanted to blog about this.

The Holden's are Moving to GEORGIA!

Atlanta that is....

YES. It's true. We are moving once again. Let me explain.

We have always wanted to end up in Texas. That was apart of our original overall plan when we started this rotational program 3 years ago. We've been here two years and have absolutely love it here.  Even up until Stephen started networking and interviewing in January for his final position we were looking only at the positions in the Dallas area. It really didn't make sense to move. We have Andrew's doctors/therapists and preschool all lined up, we LOVE our ward and neighborhood, we have some amazing friends, Dallas is AT&T's headquarters, we know the area, we have family close by et cetera...et cetera. The list goes on and on.

Then one day Stephen posed the idea of moving to Atlanta to me. After interviewing and weighing all of our options along with much prayer and fasting. It was clear that Atlanta was where our family needed to be.

Funny right? Heavenly father likes to do that to us....just as we feel like we have things planned and figured out. He teaches us that he truly is in charge. He knows what is best for us AND where we need to be.

So about a month ago Stephen accepted his last and final position with AT&T. We are really excited at the opportunity he will have. The business unit he will be apart of will be a great opportunity for his career. Another huge plus is that this means that he is done with the rotational program and we can finally be settling down. Wahoo!

I have truly loved every place we've been in the last three years. The sights, the people, the food, the culture and I have tried to take it all in not knowing how long we'd be there. I know Georgia will be the same. This time around though, I haven't found that excited to go yet and I am sad to leave the great state of Texas and all of our friends. We fly out in a week to go house hunting and I'm hoping that being out there will bring new excitement to the move and decision. Then, we'll be packing the house and heading out the last week in May, so that Stephen can officially start his new position June 2nd.

Crazy how life turns out and where it can take you! We will truly be in the deep south. With the humidity, the infamous Georgia peaches, the grits, the cotton plantations, and the crazy southern accents all waiting for us.

How fun! Best news is that there's plenty of direct flights from SLC to Altanta! Good luck with the house hunting!

Bittersweet! Glad you're peaceful about it and it will be a wonderful experience for you all, I'm sure. It's funny how Heavenly Father's plan seems twisty-turny at times, isn't it? But best. Always best.
