I really can't believe my little baby boy is three! Andrew has really been so much fun this last year. I love to see him grow and learn about the world around him.
--He is really such a sweetheart and is very aware of those around him kids and adults and especially others feelings. He will often ask me, "Mommy are you happy today?  or tell me "That little boy is sad" if another child is crying.
--Andrew is very shy in new situations, but it doesn't take long for him to warm up to others and make them laugh.
--He definitely has his tantrum moments when he doesn't want to do something he's asked. And this smart little kid will always try to get out of doing something he doesn't want to, by being silly or too sweet for his own good.
--He loves to read books with real stories in them (not just little baby vocab. picture books) and will sit for an entire book and understand the storyline. He always has to have his favorites before bedtime and even has a few memorized.
--He also loves to pretend he's asleep. He'll grab his blanket out of his bed and pretend snoring just about anywhere. Another favorite thing is that Andrew loves it when daddy will hide with him under his blanket.
--Andrew also loves music and loves to sing. He will make up his own songs and has a bunch of other favorites memorized. Every time he's trying to fall asleep you can hear singing from his bedroom door. He is crazy about the hymnal at church aka "the green books" and always asks when it's time to sing so we can pull them out. Whenever he finds a piece of music in a book or in our music basket, he will hold it up and start singing at the top of his lungs.

We had a fun time celebrating his birthday and tried to make it a special day for him. Decorating the house with balloons and streamers....his favorites were on his bedroom door.

We practiced blowing out candles at each meal...breakfast, lunch then on his cake. Each time he tried his hardest, but blows out making an "f" sound...not the most productive candle blowing technique.

We were laughing so hard at lunch trying to teach him how to blow. Stephen decided to try a hands on approach that I caught on video.

But he loved having the Aunt Janet, Aunt PJ and Uncle Chuck over for dinner and presents that evening.

The Family

The Cake

He just couldn't wait for his piece to be cut.

 Opening his presents!

Andrew loved being the center of attention

 Playing with his new toys

It was a late night and a big day. We wore this kid right out and he fell asleep playing with his new toys!

Now that he's three his new favorite phrase is..."No! I can do it mommy" How does this magically change now that he's had a birthday? And here's Andrew after just 10 days of his intense physical therapy program that we started right after his birthday. What a big boy!

We love you lots Andrew! You are such a joy and a blessing in our lives. Can't wait to see what another year will bring for you!
