This boy is growing up way too fast! He is trying with all his might to be one little independent Mister...if you know what I mean. I love seeing it, seeing him grow, seeing him learn and figure things out, seeing him start to talk and seeing his little personality shine. If only I could freeze time. *sigh*
For now...I'll just share a little bit.
Andrew has the funniest faces and expressions and his laugh is pretty much contagious. My heart melts every time I hear it.
He thinks that sneezes are hilarious and his favorite exercise for therapy is the wheelbarrow walk to strengthen his arms and shoulders. He will giggle the entire time he's doing it. He'll also show you his fake cough whenever he hears someone cough or mention the word "cough" and he's pretty proud of it.
He's pulling himself up to things and tries with all of his might to stand on his own two feet. He wants to walk ALL the time. He doesn't have any balance whatsoever and needs someone to hold his hands to help. He's getting really good at letting you know where he wants to go. Stephen and I believe it is this little determined personality that's helped him make so much progress and exceed all the doctor's expectations. I walked in on him like this the other day. Did it all by himself and I think he's a little too confident in his abilities to hold on with just one hand.
He loves playing with his dad and dad can get the best laughs out of this kid. He is the most ticklish little guy and Andrew is becoming quite the tease.
He is a one happy boy and is so easy going. Usually only throws a temper tantrum when we can't walk with him or have to take something away. Rough life as a toddler.
Just look at that tan line.We sure have had fun outside! |
Andrew continues to grow. At his last dr.'s appointment, he weighed 21 lbs 12 oz. and is 30 inches tall. The doctor's still use the "very low birth weight-growth charts" until he's three. He's at the 75th percentile in height and 50th percentile in weight.
We love our little cowboy!
