Andrew's Birthday

How is it he's 6! I can't believe it! This year, he did not want to turn six years old.....no he wanted to skip all the numbers and turn SIXTEEN! Why? Well, because when you are 16 you get your drivers licences and drive cars. (we're a little obsessed around our house)

This boy kills me. He want's to be a grown up so badly. I keep telling him, once you're a grown-up you can never be a kid again. I know in a flash he will be sixteen and driving and dating and all that crazy stuff... it will be here before he knows it.

It was so fun to have his birthday on a Saturday and we could spend the entire day together as a family and celebrate!

We woke up and had our birthday pancakes! I love to celebrate my kids the entire day and why not. So we sing happy birthday as many times as we can that day. The first of which is for breakfast.

Then because he couldn't wait any longer we opened presents!

Andrew affectionately named his new fish "Georgia" because he misses our old home so much and wants to always remember it.

We also surprise our train-loving boy with a day in the city. So we hopped in the car and drove into the city.

Our first part of the adventure was to ride the monorail.

He was in complete heaven!

Lunch at City Center and a walk around the fountains. We totally lucked out and had a beautiful day!

After a fun afternoon we headed back home!

Dinner and of course a little birthday cake! We sure do love this kid!

Here's his yearly Birthday Interview.
