Grandma Lyn & Grandpa Jerry

We were so excited that Grandma & Grandpa could come spend a few days with us! We loved having them here, showing them our new place and neighborhood, celebrating the girls birthday with us and taking a few sightseeing daytrips! Such a wonderful week! We wish we lived closer to family, but we are so grateful that they'll come all this way to visit us! We try to soak in every moment!

Grandpa & the Girls
It's getting to be quite the task to hold both girls at the same time. They are getting heavy and so strong and wiggly.

One day, we headed to a beautiful city in the Appalachian Mountains! Helen, Georgia! It was a little taste of Europe right here in Georgia! It was so fun to walk around and enjoy the sights. We had beautiful weather. We got there just in time to enjoy some lunch. We found a quaint little German restaurant that had been highly recommended and boy was it delicious! My parents were in heaven looking through the menu (in German) and reminiscing on their days as missionaries in Austria. It all looked so good we each ordered a different item and let everyone sample from everyone. My dad said that they had the best rot kraut (a red cabbage salad) he's eaten in the states. Now that's a pretty high compliment, I'd say.

They had all sorts of fun shops and alley was that were so quaint. Andrew loved exploring them all.

These two were troopers and had a nice long nap in the stroller. That never happens with these girls.

The Christmas shop and glass blowing shop were my favorites, but Stephen loved getting some delicious fudge.

They had some beautiful parks!

Our other Adventure was to the Georgia Aquarium! Yep one of our Georgia favorites!

Andrew was excited to show Grandma & Grandpa the penguins, They went to the South Pole earlier this year on a trip with some friends and brought back Andrew some stuffed penguins! He loves finding the penguins each time we go to the aquarium now.

Resting with Grandpa!

Since it was the off season and we hit it in the afternoon after all the school groups had left there was hardly anybody there. I had to convince Andrew a little, but he thought it was fun to touch the starfish and said it felt spongy

Since it was a beautiful day, we took a little walk around downtown and Coca-Cola World (Coke's World Headquarters right next door to the aquarium)

It's always hard to say goodbye! My dad help us build some shelves for a closet and my mom helped decorate a little bit. They even watched the kids one night so Stephen and I could slip away for a little date to the movies! We loved having them here and Andrew asks all the time when we can go and visit. We are so blessed to have wonderful parents!
Thanks for a wonderful visit mom & dad!
