Summer Happenings

In Georgia, the kids are on a balanced calendar for school and only have a 9 week break in the summer with lots of breaks through out the year. This year, 6 of those summer weeks were filled with intensive therapy. Which meant being gone from noon to 5pm each day and dragging the girls along in tow. It made it hard with it being right in the middle of nap time and traveling and hour each way to the clinics, but looking back we some how survived and the girls were troopers to take their nap in the car each day.

While Andrew's was in therapy... We've tried to make the most of our summer.

One of my favorite places to get drinks does not exist in Georgia...or at least that's what I thought. Until I found that there was a Sonic just a few blocks away from his therapy places. One of only three total in the Atlanta area. We made this stop during happy hour a regular occurrence as he was there. It didn't take the girls to catch on and want their very own drink...gotta love Sonic happy hour!

We found a few water parks to cool off in the heat. This one was by far the biggest water fountain the girls were almost scared to death by it!

A majority of our days, we'd hit the park, trying out new ones each time. But most days, we'd only last a short time because everything was so darn hot. We'd end up just taking a lots of walks at the park, until we couldn't stand the heat anymore.

In looking for things to do one day, we found a place to cut this cuties hair for the very first time. She LOVED it!

She thought she was pretty important sitting in that big chair with a cap on and did not move a single inch!! She also loved getting a sucker as a reward, and so did her sister!

Most days the girls napped while I worked on stuff, read, worked on projects or made phone calls. We also ran a bunch of errands, especially as we got close to moving. These girls were troopers and I'm so thankful for them and their sweet personalities...it makes being a mom to twins easy!
