Visitors

We've been so lucky to have some family come and visit us the last few months.

Stephen's brother James had a work conference up in Tennessee so he brought his wife and after the conference they drove down to our place. We had just moved in to our house only 5 days earlier. So we welcomed them with open arms and a house full of boxes.

We put the unpacking on hold and we decided to go play and show them the great state of Georgia.

We had to show them the amazing Georgia Aquarium! One of our favorite places in Atlanta! It is one of the most amazing aquariums and we had a wonderful day!
Sadly I guess I didn't take any pictures...too busy with kids I guess.

Since the weather was pretty much perfect, We decided we needed to get out and enjoy a little hike!
Amicalola falls.

We decided to be adventurous and go down the gorge! We had James help us in carrying one of the girls. Which made the hike do-able with all three kids.  It was almost 300 steps one way straight down. Needless to say our legs felt like Jello when we got back to the top, especially since we were also carrying three kids up and down all those steps. The hike down was worth it...it was beautiful.

Then we were able to have my sweet 15 yr old niece Lindsey come and stay with us for a few weeks! We decided to bring her out here to give me a boost and help with...pretty much everything! She was amazing and did just that. Unpacking, cleaning, dishes, cooking, taking care of kids, running to doctor's appointments, folding laundry, feeding babies these are just a few of what this sweet girl did! She was amazing!

The kids were in HEAVEN and loved cousin Lindsey! Andrew wanted to wake her up every morning and kept asking when cousin Lindsey could come back. He has now named the room she slept in as Lindsey's room.

We also were able to do a few things that we've wanted to do this summer that we couldn't have done without an extra pair of hands. Our new home is just 10 minutes from one of the biggest lakes in Georgia. Lake Lanier. So one Saturday we rented a small boat and explored the lake, played in the water and of course did a little water skiing.

We had to swing by our old apartment and since we lived just a few blocks down the street from the temple we stopped and took a quick walk around. I miss being so close to the temple and driving by each time we left our apartment.

And you can't come visit us and not go to the Georgia aquarium!!

Swim days were always a favorite way to cool off and certainly something I can't do by myself!

It was sad to send her back home! We loved having her with us! Those few weeks went way too fast!
