Yep..we've been officially spoiled last week around our house. We were so lucky to have Stephen's mom stay with us for an entire week. I feel sooo rejuvenated and Andrew is going through withdrawals of not being held by his Grandma Holden. She was a wonderful help around the house and with Andrew. I actually got a shower AND got to sleep in...everyday! Completely spoiled? Yes.....I would agree.
While here, she was able to get in lots of Grandma time with our little guy and he loved every minute of it! We also discovered that Andrew just LOVES to go shopping. (I'm guessing this won't always be the case as he gets a bit older!) I was finally able to complete most of the unpacking and we even were able to work on some of the decorating. (I'll have to post some pictures soon!) It was wonderful to get so much done! We sure do miss her this week. ;)
Another highlight of the week was that Stephen was even able to take me on a little date with Grandma as the babysitter. With the busyness of our lives, I think that was the first date we've had the past 6 months. Let's just say we had some yummy Panda Express (a favorite of ours) and a private showing of the Harry Potter movie. (Yeah, we caught it the very last night it was in the theaters.....and apparently we were the only people who hadn't seen it yet.) It was great to spend some time with just the two of us!

We also were lucky enough to have Stephen's dad and his sister Meghan and her family spend the long Labor day weekend with us. We had a houseful and we had so much fun together. It was wonderful to be surrounded by family. I gave Stephen a few stipulations when we were looking at different job offers and deciding on moving. Top on the list was....ONE: We had to be close to some family. Well, when we took this job with AT&T we had no idea where we'd be placed. In the end, I'm so glad to be close to his family! I'm so excited to be just a few hours away from the Holden's and that we'll be able to see them more than once or twice a year while we're living here in Illinois.
